I acquired my CCST in Clinical Radiology in 2007 and a PhD in shoulder imaging from the University of Thessaly, Greece, in 2008. I was first appointed as Consultant Radiologist in 2007 in Papageorgiou Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece. Between 2009-2014 I worked as Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist, Lead of Musculoskeletal Imaging in Hinchingbrooke Hospital NHS Trust. Since November 2014 I have been working as Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, Middlesex. Since 2010 I have been working as Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at the Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital.

In my clinical practice I report all musculoskeletal imaging investigations, including x-rays, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans. I perform diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasounds and ultrasound guided injections and soft tissue tumour biopsies. I also perform CT guided musculoskeletal interventional procedures, including biopsies, facet joint injections and nerve root blocks. I perform injections and arthrograms of various joints and synovial biopsies of infected prostheses under fluoroscopic (x-ray) guidance as well.

I perform the following imaging guided interventional procedures: Computed tomography guided facet joint injections and nerve root blocks. Injections of various joints under fluoroscopic, computed tomography and ultrasound guidance. Arthrograms of various joints. Ultrasound and computed tomography guided biopsies of soft tissue and bone lesions. Synovial biopsies of infected joint prostheses under ultrasound and fluoroscopic guidance.

During the last 10 months I have performed 490 imaging guided interventional procedures. Of those 296 were under ultrasound, 135 under fluoroscopic and 59 under computed tomography (CT) guidance.

I have a strong interest in research, having published 27 peer reviewed articles and 10 case reports. I have been an Honorary Visiting Specialist for the University of Cambridge (2013) and I have 104 presentations in national and international congresses. I have authored musculoskeletal imaging chapters in 4 international and 2 greek books. I have given lectures and I have been faculty member and chairman in a number of national and international congresses. I am reviewer for 4 international medical journals, senior editor for the British Journal of Radiology Case Reports and editor for the Royal College of Radiology E-learning initiative. I also act as reviewer for the European Congress of Radiology and Eurorad.

I am blessed to be the mother of an amazing 11 year old boy, Dimitrios. I spend my free time with my son and wonderful parents, who I absolutely adore. I love going to the cinema, theatre and exhibitions. I am very active and I exercise 5-6 times/week.
